Mavic Ksyrium Equipe Wheelset - Clincher White, Pair/Shimano Overview

The Mavic Ksyrium Equipe Wheelset is built on black anodized aluminum rims to provide an aerodynamic edge in comparison to a standard Open Pro rim. And like the Ksyrium Elite, the Equipe features a perfectly machined braking surface and welded/machined construction for an optimum combination of performance and durability. Think of them as an ultra-tough wheelset ideal for long mileage in the worst conditions. The Equipe wheels are stout, yes. But aerodynamics are at the forefront here, thanks to their 24mm rim profile, their low spoke count, and their use of bladed stainless steel spokes. The Equipe is substantially less expensive than the Elite thanks to a combination of small details. Rather than having FORE drilled rims and thread-in spoke grommets, the Ksyrium Equipe rims are a more traditional single-eyeletted style with the spoke holes penetrating the outer wall of the rim (this is why you have to run rims strips on the Equipe wheels). And while the Equipe uses the identical lightweight FTS-L steel freehub body as the Ksyrium Elite and SL wheels, its sealed bearing hubs lack the on-bike adjustability, although they are fully serviceable and adjustable otherwise. The Mavic Kysrium Equipe Wheelset is available in Black. Both front and rear wheels have 20 spokes. The front spokes are radial, and the rear wheels uses Mavic's Isopulse lacing with a mixture of radial and crossed spokes for optimum power transfer. They are available to fit Shimano/SRAM drivetrains as well as Campagnolo. They come standard with Mavic aluminum quick release skewers. This wheelset is part of Mavic's MP3 extended warranty program. The acronym stands for Mavic Product Protection Plan, and it provides you with two years of almost unlimited no-fault protection from Mavic. More details can be found on the MP3 website. Please note that MP3 coverage must be purchased within 5 days of the date that you receive your wheels.
